Man Shoots Dead Wife And Dog Before Killing Himself In Murder-suicide

Police in Arkansas say a man shot dead his wife and their family dog, before turning the gun on himself in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide. 
The suspected shooter in the killings that took place in Little Rock on Saturday has been identified as 68-year-old Jeffrey Reynolds. 
According to investigators, Reynolds shot and killed his wife, 67-year-old Gayle Reynolds, before turning the gun on himself.

Officers responded to the family's home in the 19000 block of Summershade Drive at around 1pm after receiving a 911 call from Gayle's stepfather, saying he had entered the couple's home and found their bodies, according to[ ]. 
When police went inside the residence, they discovered the husband and wife dead from gunshot wounds, along with their pet dog, [ ]reported. 
Authorities said based on preliminary evidence recovered at the scene and interviews with neighbors, Gayle's death was ruled a homicide and the death of Jeffery was by suicide. 
Police spokesman Eric Barnes said it is believed Jeffrey shot and killed his wife following a domestic argument. 
Autopsies will be performed on the husband and wife to determine the exact causes of death.
Animal control officers had removed the corpse of the family's slain dog.
